A fire door needs to work as part of the building’s fire protection. Everyday use can reveal problems that deserve attention, from visible damage to a door that no longer closes correctly.
Notice changes in everyday use
Report a door that sticks, fails to close, or has damaged seals or fittings to the person responsible for fire safety. Keep fire doors free from obstructions and do not wedge them open. A quick visual check can highlight a concern, but it does not establish the door’s fire performance.
Make faults easy to locate
When reporting a problem, identify the door’s location and describe what you have noticed. A photograph and a clear description can help when arranging a visit. Do not alter the door, closer or seals yourself; seek competent advice on the appropriate work.
Support for existing fire doors
Monarch Fire offers fire door servicing for existing doors. We do not offer fire door installation. Get in touch with the location and details of the doors you would like us to look at.
